Noon Year's Eve Fun

The Yard's Park hosted a great Noon Year's Eve Bash with a count down to 12pm for the kids. There were train rides on Thomas, face painting, stilt walkers, bouncy houses, magicians, music and more. The highlight was watching the kids faces during the count down and the balloon drop. Then we headed over to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Chantilly to celebrate dad's birthday. The twins were finally old enough to appreciate the Space Shuttle Discovery. There was an audible gasp when they laid eyes on it for the first time, followed by lots of finger pointing and wows!

This is the actual Enola Gay, the first aircraft to drop an atomic bomb, targeted on Hiroshima, Japan.
