I was honored to participate in the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure today. My cheer squad back in Salt Lake City has participated as volunteers for the last 7 years. Countless survivors, caregivers, family, and friends partake in the festivities all over the US each year. For some reason being at the event in our Nation's Capitol made it even more special. There are thousands of dedicated people who raise millions of dollars to fund the research to cure breast cancer each year. It was inspiring to see the survivors cross the finish line. Today we ran/walked for a wonderful woman in our church congregation and for my dear Zia Natalina in Italy and for the lovely Jessica Tilahun and Janet Brown.
*Heather Trane, pictured above, took 4th place in the race. Way to go h-trane!
