When all else fails

We had intended to go to the big Cherry Blossom Parade today. After getting stuck in traffic for nearly two hours, we missed it. Which meant we missed the Easter egg hunt at Rose Park as well. We weren't going to let that stop us from enjoying this beautiful Spring day. The kiddos didn't care that we missed anything, they were just happy to get out of the car. We let them go wild on the swings and in the sand. You've never seen happier little boys.

Their first time ever on the swings!

Just next to the park was the First Baptist Church of Georgetown, established in 1862 by Reverend Sandy Alexander, a former slave.
